I attended Pilgrims’ as a boy. I came back as a teacher and I now have the privilege of being the Headmaster. Like I did, boys arrive at a young age still finding their way in the world and experiencing a great many things for the first time. Up to nine years later they leave with confidence and character, knowing they are ready for what is next because they have been stretched through a culture of personalised expectations. This is what we are about. Not producing specialists, honing just a single talent and building everything else around it.

We believe Pilgrims’ offers boys the best start in life at the most crucial time in their development. Our boys work hard and have a lot of fun. Our  ‘super curriculum’ offers opportunities unique anywhere at Prep School level and designed to appeal to a boy’s curiosity.  

With nearly a century of experience, we’re experts in building boys of good character who enjoy learning, love general knowledge and leave ready to make the world a better place.  

We encourage every boy to explore his individual ideas and creativity, something they develop as they move up the school. With numerous music ensembles, multiple choirs, all the sports you can think of and more, up to 50 extra-curricular activities a week, strong drama and LAMDA opportunities, and boarding, we’re a one-stop shop for a comprehensive curriculum, afterschool clubs and wrap-around care combined.

Boarding at Pilgrims’ is a truly enriching experience with a great sense of fun and community.  We have 100 boarding places, and boys can board from Year 4 onwards.
