Our main points of entry are Reception (4+), Years 3 and 4 (8+/9+) but we’re always open to boys joining at any point to suit your family, subject to places being available.
Some boys join at age eleven if their current school doesn’t go to age 13 or if they want the best preparation for scholarships, the ISEB or Common Entrance exams. Boys also join for a boarding experience before going on to board at senior school.
Choral scholars for Winchester Cathedral Choir and Winchester College Chapel Choir, join in Year 4 and Year 5.

Pilgrims’ boys regularly progress to many of the UK’s leading senior schools. In the past five years alone, 119 have gone on to Winchester, 41 to Eton and 23 to Sherborne, with others joining Marlborough, Radley, Charterhouse and Harrow — many with full scholarships.
