We suit boys who make the most of  the opportunities we offer and contribute to the school community. While founded on a Christian ethos, we welcome boys of all faiths and none and we aim to foster the character of every single Pilgrim. 

Whether day or boarding, we nurture each boy’s interests and help him meet his full potential. 

We value character alongside academic results. Our pupils might be playing in an orchestra one day or acting in a play, then on the sports field covered in mud the next. We don’t ask boys to choose. It’s all about AND at Pilgrims’.

Giving boys lots to do, in a whole host of activities, our dedicated staff nurture every individual. We combine this with outstanding facilities and an ethos which values kindness – all in a unique town and country historic setting.

Purpose

To lead a childhood journey that seeks out and maximises individual potential, aspires to excellence, nurtures good character and self-belief, and creates globally-minded learners.
 
We lay strong foundations, nurturing pupils to have the curiosity to understand themselves, the commitment to develop themselves, and the confidence with humility to be themselves. We build on these to develop pupils who look outwards to make a positive difference and to serve the world around them both independently and through leading others.
 
We give our pupils excellent preparation for a challenging and changing world.
