Disbursements and Extras
Registration Fee
Before your son is assessed for entry, a non-refundable registration fee of £200 including VAT is payable.
Acceptance Deposit
If you accept the Headmaster’s offer of a place at Pilgrims’, we will ask you for a deposit to secure it. For parents whose primary residence is in the UK, the deposit is £1,000, and for all others – see our International student page - the deposit is one term’s fee. This deposit will be refunded within four months of your child leaving the school, less any outstanding fees or extras if applicable. If you withdraw your son, either prior to entry or whilst he is at the school, the deposit is refundable only if you have given one term’s notice.
Forces Discount
The school offers military families a 20% Forces concession, in addition to Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA).
Bursaries and Scholarships
To widen access to the school, means-tested bursaries may be available.
Financial support must be requested upon registration. It is only in exceptional cases of hardship, where a family has experienced significant and unexpected changes to their circumstances, that we will consider temporary financial support for a pupil who is already at the school.
Please contact Admissions for forms and further details.
Winchester Cathedral Choristers and Winchester College Quiristers are awarded a choral scholarship. Additional bursaries may be available.
Insurances
The school can provide optional insurance for absence from school due to illness or injury. Full details can be obtained from the Finance Office.
Fees in Advance Scheme
Once an offer letter has been received, confirming your child’s place at the school, a lump sum may be paid in advance of your child’s entry, covering up to three years of fees for the school. Please contact the Finance Office for more information.
The details above are an indicative summary of the current situation regarding fees, disbursement, discounts and bursaries, and are provided as advice rather than as a contractual offer. Parents joining the school should consult the parent/school contract and the Finance Office for the most current information.
The School normally gives one term’s notice of fee increases but reserves the right to increase fees at shorter notice in exceptional circumstances.
School Fee Invoices Terms & Conditions
The account is due for payment on or before the first day of the term to which it relates.
Late payment of accounts will incur interest at the rate of 2% per month or part thereof for all outstanding balances after 14 days.
Please use your Account Code as the payment reference.
A clear term’s notice is to be given to the Headmaster if a pupil is to be withdrawn from the school or if his status changes from Boarder to Day. A term’s fees in lieu of such notice will otherwise be charged.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our incredible leavers. 💚
We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them and everything they’ve achieved during their time here at Pilgrims’. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, learn and flourish, and we know they have bright futures ahead.
We’d like to wish all of our leavers and their families the very best as they embark on their next adventure.
But don’t worry… this isn’t the last you’ll see of them! 👀✨

🎨 Art and DT exhibition 🪚
Tonight saw the culmination of the work by our boys in Art and DT. With some truly staggering work on display the boys have showed amazing discipline, creativity and resilience which can certainly be seen in the final product.
A big thank you to our Art teacher, Ros Priddle and our DT teacher Any Herbert who have inspired the boys and curated tonight’s exhibition.
